Dr. Pierre Vanderzwalmen, who has been a permanent external partner of IAKENTRO since 1992, is the biologist who achieved the world’s first pregnancy using the TESE method, meaning, a case of azoospermia where spermatozoids were selected after a testicular biopsy.
Since 2004, he has developed and imposed a closed vitrification method for oocytes and embryos (closed vitrification) to make it easy for the average biologist to apply and it also complies with the EU directiva.
